Santander credit cards ‘win industry awards’

It is the second time in a row the credit card provider has won the accolade.

The award was given in recognition to Santander Card’s commitment to product development, understanding consumers’ needs and innovation.

Consumer service was also rated at credit card providers in this category by a secret shopper test.

Santander Cards was up against credit card providers Capital One, Halifax, Lloyds TSB and Virgin.

Roger Lovering, managing director of Santander Cards, said: “Both Santander Zero and the Santander Credit Card are enduring successes that continue to evolve with our customers’ needs.

“And we have used highly creative marketing strategies, the optimisation of internal channels and consumer research to create a truly customer focused environment.”

The Santander Zero credit card has a typical variable rate of 18.9% APR.

Credit card holders can enjoy a 0% foreign exchange fee and 0% for three months on purchases from the date on which the account is opened.

A rate of 0% on balance transfers for 12 months is also available from the account opening date with a 3% fee and a minimum transfer of £5.
