The Pelosi Health Care Bill

According to the Wall Street Journal
The following appeared in the Wall Street Journal’s November 7-8 edition. If the Nancy Pelosi health care plan passes, here are surprises awaiting the American people.
The following costs were estimated by the Congressional Budget Office:
An individual earning $44,000 before taxes who purchases his own insurance will have to pay a $5,300 premium and an estimated $2,000 out of pocket expenses for a total of $7,300 per year (17% of pre-tax income).
A family earning $102,100 per year before taxes will have to pay a $15,000 premium plus an estimated $5,300 out of pocket, for a total of $20,300 (20% of pre-tax income).
Oh, the fees and costs to Americans have apparently NOT yet been worked out. Sec 224 (118) of the bill states that: 18 months after the bill becomes law the Secretary of Health and Human Services will decide what a qualified plan covers and how much you will be required to pay. The analogy used by TWSJ is this – take out a loan at a bank but have them decide after the fact how much interest to charge you 18 months later. No thanks!
One thing incredible about this cost – Americans cannot afford to save for retirement. How can they possibly afford these fees? But you either pay it or they fine you additional fees.
There is alot more, ALOT MORE, in this bill referenced by The Wall Street Journal that should scare the daylights out of you.
HOW ABOUT THIS LITTLE TIDBIT:
Sec 59b (pp 297-299) of the Pelosi Health Care Bill:
When you file taxes you must prove that you are in a qualified plan. If not, you will be fined THOUSANDS of dollars. And, of course, Illegal Immigrants are exempt from this ruling but legal citizens can be fined.
Businesses must pay 72% of the cost of their employees health care premiums – or be fined. How many jobs do you think that will cost this nation? Many small business cannot afford these costs on top of the normal day-to-day costs of operating a business.
These are only a few of the many items TWSJ referenced. The rest are just as scary and bizarre.
Congratulations to everyone who voted for change!
