Written by Robert White on July 17, 2011 – 5:20 pm

A day doesn’t go by when we don’t read news of a data breach at a major company, healthcare facility or financial institution. The breaches at Epsilon, Sony and now brokerage Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, are a good example.

We asked Eduard Goodman, Identity Theft 911 chief privacy officer and an expert on international privacy and data protection law, what to do when a data breach notification letter lands in your mailbox.

Written by Jessica Clark on July 17, 2011 – 2:05 pm

Every Sunday, The Simple Dollar reviews a personal finance or other book of interest. Also available is a complete list of the hundreds of book reviews that have appeared on The Simple Dollar over the years.

Written by Jessica Clark on July 17, 2011 – 8:16 am

– The past week saw panic in the financial markets from the double whammy of the sovereign debt crisis plaguing the euro zone nations and the political stalemate over the U.S. debt ceiling. The euro zone debt crisis has claimed the scalps of Greece, Ireland and Portugal, which were forced to avail financing from the troika. New Bend MLS search

Written by Jessica Clark on July 17, 2011 – 12:48 am

Bend MLS Search

I’ve just added a new Bend MLS search to my site. Now you can search by area, subdivision, zip code, MLS number, school boundaries, map, and more. The new MLS search is super easy to use, and features a great layout. Best of all, clients who register will be able to save their favorite listings, save their searches, and have the option of receiving new listings as they come on the market matching their search criteria. Check out the new Bend MLS search.

Thanks to REW for building the custom IDX for the site. I’m still working on a few additional customizations. So keep coming back.
