Mortgage rates currently at all-time record lows

Mortgage rates tumbled yet again and established new historical lows, Freddie Mac said in its weekly report late last week. Results from Freddie Mac’s Primary Mortgage Market Survey revealed that mortgage rates for all mortgage products examined dove to new all-time record lows during the week ending January 12, 2012. In this latest data, 30-year fixed-rate mortgages fell to average of 3.89 percent after coming in at 3.91 percent last week. In addition, 15-year fixed-rate mortgages dropped to an average of 3.16 after averaging 3.23 percent one week ago. These averages are a far cry from the averages seen for these two mortgage products last year at this time. O

Freddie Mac reports lowest mortgage rates ever.
Consumers that are considering buying a home have literally never been in a better position to get a great deal on a mortgage, as rates have hit their lowest point ever this week.
According to the latest Primary Mortgage Market Survey from Freddie Mac, which tracks the rates for all types of mortgages across the country, APRs on both 30-year and 15-year fixed-rate home loans for the week ending July 22 declined to the lows never before recorded by the lending giant.
Freddie Mac said the rate for 30-year fixed-rate mortgages dropped to 4.56 percent, down from 4.57 percent the week prior, and well below the 5.2 percent APR from the same week in 2009. Full Article…

Today’s Mortgage Interest Rates: 30 Year Mortgage Rates Decline to 4.99%

Fixed mortgage rates and adjustable mortgage rates were down. Conforming fixed 30 year mortgage rates are back under 5.00 percent for the first time in a few weeks.
The Federal Open Market Committee meets next week to decide the direction of interest rates. The FOMC is expected to keep the Fed Funds rate in a targeted range of zero percent to one quarter percent for now.

Mortgage Rates: 30 Year Mortgage Rates at 5.06% and 15 Year Mortgage Rates at 4.45%

Mortgage rates were down in the latest mortgage survey released by Freddie Mac. The decrease in today’s mortgage rates was the first decrease in the past few weeks. 30 year mortgage rates are down to 5.06 percent for the week ending January 14, 2010, down from the previous week’s average mortgage interest rate of 5.09 percent. Mortgage discount points were unchanged at 0.7 points.

Mortgage Rates – Average Mortgage Rates Higher for the Last Week of 2009

Mortgage rates are higher in the latest mortgage survey for 2009. This week’s increase in mortgage rates is the fourth consecutive week of increases. Even with four weeks of increases, 30 year mortgage rates are just above 5.00 percent but are expected to head as high as 6.00 in 2010.
